Chevrolet SUV Maintenance Schedules

Chevy Lineup

You want a reliable, family-friendly, robust, and fuel-efficient SUV in your Jamestown or Westfield garage. You’ve got four great choices from your Fredonia Chevy dealer: the classic Trailblazer, the sleek Trax, a large Suburban, and the zippy Equinox

No matter which SUV you purchase, you’ll need to know the Chevrolet SUV maintenance schedules to keep your new vehicle in great shape. Find out more about the Chevy SUV service intervals with our handy guide.

Chevy Trax Maintenance Intervals

Your first maintenance visit for a Chevy Trax occurs at 7,500 miles and every 7,500 miles thereafter. This is when the 1.4L, four-cylinder engine will get an oil change and a tire rotation. We’ll also look over the fluid levels to see what else you might need. You might also require new windshield wiper blades. Tire rotations help keep the wear even on each of the four tires, extending their lives. Expect this maintenance one to two times per year.

At 22,500 miles, we’ll replace the cabin air filter to keep your cabin smelling fresh and clean. We’ll also keep an eye on the engine air filter, tires, and brakes.

When your Chevy Trax reaches 45,000 miles, we will tell you if the brake pads need replacing because this is when you’ll start to see some wear on the brakes. Your tires might also need to be replaced, and we’ll change the oil here, too.

At 60,000 miles, your Chevy Trax will need new sparkplugs to keep the combustion chamber working properly. When you reach 97,500 miles, the transfer case fluid will need replacing if you have an AWD version.

At 150,000 miles, it’s time for new engine coolant to keep your radiator working properly.

Chevy Trailblazer Maintenance Intervals

The Chevy Trailblazer maintenance interval follows the same one as the Chevy Trax with two exceptions. At 45,000 miles, you’ll get new transmission fluid to keep it running smoothly. Instead of spark plugs at 60,000 miles, your Chevy Trailblazer will get spar kplugs at 100,000 miles.

Chevrolet Equinox Maintenance Schedules

Expect to follow the previous Chevrolet SUV maintenance schedules with the Equinox with one major change. At 30,000 miles, you’ll need a new diesel fuel filter if you have a model with a TurboDiesel engine under the hood.

Chevy Suburban Service Schedule

Again, we’ll see you every 7,500 miles with your Chevy Suburban’s service interval. You’ve got a few other service milestones to think about here. At 45,000 miles, we’ll take a closer look at the brake fluid, transmission fluid, and coolant levels. We will also examine the evaporative control system. When your Suburban reaches 90,000 miles, we’ll replace transfer case fluids and look over spark plugs. By 150,000 miles, we will change the engine coolant.
